P.E LESSONS £45ph

Since 2010 I have travelled into Primary Schools to teach PE & After School Clubs.

CURRICULAR DANCE

I offer Curriculum dance P.E based on their current term topics of work. E.g. Electricity, Fire of London, Castles, Vikings, Heroes, North & South America, Water Cycle, Animals, BFG, Dinosaurs, Heroes that help us, Transport Vehicles, Egyptians, Medieval Times, Countries, Rainforest, Habitats...etc

Weekly lessons over a half term include children working individually, in partners work using mirroring & in groups learning to dance in cannon & unison building routines together.

Every lesson gives students new lesson objectives & tasks to help improve not only their dance skills but improve their own creativity, social skills, confidence, spatial awareness, direction, patterns, levels, tempo, flexibility, memory skills, patience, fitness & stamina.

NON CURRICULUM DANCE

I also offer various styles of Dance for non curriculum which can be one off sessions or termly to build routines for a showcase for parents or to be performed outside of school for an interschool event or competition.

From Morris, Medieval, European national folk dance, street dance, funky jazz to pop music, musical theatre (singing dancing and acting), acrobatics (floor gymnastics).

The dance  lessons often work towards learning a routine for a school performance in front of parents in assembly, school production, summer fair or sports days.

GYMNASTICS

I offer Curriculum & non curriculum Gymnastics PE lessons working on children's strength, stamina & flexibility.

Teaching partner & group counter balances, various types of roles & travelling tumbling movements & balances.

Children learn how to link a sequence together to build their own routines.

I also offer choreography to those schools that want help entering into local school competitions.

4 AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS £50ph

I also offer 4  after school clubs in:

- Street dance (funky dance to popular pop songs)

- Gymnastics ( Floor gymnasics including solo, partner & group counter balances as well as tumbling skills.)

- Musical Theatre    (singing acting & dancing to the kids favourite songs from Musicals, TV & Film. )

- Dance Mix ( a change of styles each week from cheerleading with pompoms, bollywood to ballroom & to lyrical with ribbons to name a few. )

These clubs I mostly split into KS1 one half term & KsS2 the next unless its a small school  & I combine ages.

I give out a certificate after every club for Dancer/Gymnast/Performer of the week.

Often after learning  or creating routines the children like to perform to each other this is great for childrens confidence in performing and giving each other feedback and children like to choose their favourite routines & reward them with my stickers!

Over the last 16 years I have worked at the following Primary Schools:

Christ Church Lancaster, Christ Church Carnforth, Carnforth community, Nether Kellet, Arkholme, St. Wilfrids Halton, Caton Community, St Patricks Heysham, Trumacar Heysham, Heysham St.Peters, Scotforth St. Pauls Lancaster, Bowerham Lancaster, Forton, Overton St. Helens, Yealand, &  Morecambe Bay, Hornby & Silverdale.

School dance event examples.

2017 Heysham St Patricks hired me to teach a class a dance to be performed at Our lady's high school along with other catholic primary schools. The theme of their dance was money.

November  2019  I was asked to teach a dance afternoon

to a group of primary school children, lots of primary schools came together at Carnforth high school and I taught everyone a dance in the sports hall this was organised by Tim Fletcher. Silverdale , Walton, arkholme, Carnforth community to name a few. It was a great atmosphere.

Christchurch Carnforth in 2022 asked me to choreograph a routine for the Lancashire inter-school dance competition. The top school in the Lancaster and Heysham area got to perform at the finals on the famous Blackpool Winter Garderns stage. They reached the final representing our area &... what an achievement & experience!!!

Nether Kellet have had me in yearly for many years now to teach street dance & Musical theatre clubs of which the children perform in assembly at school, discos and their school fairs. This is great for the kids confidence with performing in front of an audience!

Overton have hired me in 2019, 2020 & 2022 & Heysham St.Peters in 2025  to help choreograph , guide & teach their gymnastic pair routines for a local competition with other primary schools organised by Tim Fletcher.

Overton hired me in 2024 for their maypole routine at their yearly rose queen & King day for parents. Christchurch Lancaster Year 3 children have yearly Maypole dance PE lessons with me since 2021.

Yealand primary school ask me to choreograph their annual dance showcase since 2020. One year it was a shortened version of the famous Nutcracker Ballet.  I choreographed just over 10mins of dance using the whole school including their preschool little owls over 6 weeks of lessons, which was then showcased for christmas.

My After school club at Scotforth in 2024 & 2025 won the inter-school dance competition for our area & got through to the Lancashire finals at Blackpool winter gardens to represent Lancaster. This is now the second school & 3rd year I have taken schools to the Blackpool finals.
